Paper Airplane Airplane Folding Instructions

Step 1

1. Fold the paper in half and open it back up.

Step 2

2. Fold both corners in to the center line.

Step 3

3. Fold the top point down, leaving it about 1 inch (2.5cm) from the bottom edge.

Step 4

4. Fold both corners in to the center line.

Step 5

5. Take the little triangle piece at the bottom and fold it up to lock down the two flaps.

Step 6

6. Now, fold the paper plane in half away from you.

Step 7

7. Fold one wing down, leaving about one inch (2.5cm) for the fuselage.

Step 8

8. Repeat with the other wing.

Step 9

9. Next, fold up the wingtips.

Step 10

10. Finally, take a pair of scissors and cut two small slits at the tail end of each wing.

Final Paper Airplane Design Lock-Bottom

Once you have adjusted the elevons to get it to fly straight, this is a very reliable airplane that can go very far. Hold the belly towards the center and throw at a slight upwards angle. The Lock-Bottom flies best when thrown with medium force.
